AK100II CASE

logbook, product design

Since two month I am the lucky owner of an Astell & Kern 100 II – a portable high definition audio-player for 24Bit/192kHz. Build quality and sound are epic, but i can`t understand that A&K had not produced a ergonomic holster, case or bag for portable use. Am I the first one who recognized this? Am I the only one who used the AK100ii really portable and plug it in my pants pockets or in my messenger bag? Anyway, I’ve been searching for a useful and ergonomic protection.
This should allows manual operations of the buttons and wheel and protect the touchscreen at the same time. It should fit perfectly, should have a belt clip and should be made out of leather. So here is my winner: the Nokia CP-69 phone holster which cost only some bugs. I have bought mine in used condition from ebay  – so it have a nice patina. You only have to cut out two semicircles on the top loop for the A&K100II headphone output and the power button.
